I believe that digital technology is extremely useful, but people need to be aware of its limits. It helps us organize, share, and analyze information, but these tools are not there to do the work for us. As useful as tools like LLMs and other forms of AI can be, we still need to understand their limitations and shortcomings. When used properly, they can help us achieve results in ways and at speeds that would not have seemed possible before digitalization.
With great power comes great responsibility, but also new risks and liabilities. People need to make sure they do not confuse the digital world with reality, especially when using technology such as virtual reality. Virtual reality can feel more comfortable because it is a controlled environment, but that does not mean it replaces real life or real human experiences.
In education and business, these tools can improve our everyday lives, but they can also limit people’s ability to think critically if they rely on them too much. That is why it is important to stay aware of how we use them. The best approach is to embrace technology and everything the digital world has to offer, while still being able to detach ourselves from it and take a step back when needed.
