Post 9: Reflecting on What I Learned
Learning Objective 9
This blog helped me reflect on what I learned throughout the course. Before this class, I mostly thought about the digital world in a practical way. I used technology every day, but I did not really think deeply about what was happening behind it or how we got to this point.
Now, I understand that the digital revolution is not just about computers or AI. It is really about representation. Humans take something from the natural world, convert it into a digital form, and then use that representation to communicate, store information, analyze data, or create something new.
The biggest lesson for me is that digital tools are powerful, but they are not neutral or perfect. They shape how we see the world and how we interact with information. This class made me more aware of both the benefits and the limits of living in a digital society. It also helped me realize that being digital is not just a technical concept, but something that connects history, science, communication, and everyday life.
